Mr.Yongjiang Zhao specializes in intellectual property protection in the fields of biology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry and materials, and provides legal services including patent validity analysis, infringement risk analysis, freedom-to-operate opinions, and patent layout. Zhao Yongjiang has been engaged in patent examination and information services for many years. He has solid and broad technical skills, is able to quickly grasp the technical direction of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, has an accurate grasp of Chinese patent examination standards, is familiar with U.S. and European patent examination standards, and is good at disassembling and analyzing intellectual property rights issues involved in complex technical subject matters, as well as has a keen understanding of macro policies and industrial trends.

Since joining Doktek (Wuhan) one year ago, he has completed more than 40 FTO analyses, stability analyses and patent layout analyses in the field of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology in gene sequencing, monoclonal antibodies, synthetic biology, nucleic acid vaccines, ADC, fluorescent compounds, in vitro diagnostics and other fields.

 Mr. Zhao Yongjiang started his IP career in 2009. He has worked at the State Intellectual Property Office for 13 years, during which he worked as a member of the Patent Reexamination and Invalidation Department to participate in the reexamination and invalidation of patents in the field of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, and as a people's juror at the Wuhan Intermediate People's Court to participate in the trial of cases of patent infringement, disputes over the ownership of patents, and trade secrets, etc. He has also participated in a number of intellectual property service projects. The main achievements include: 1) providing industrial and patent information analysis and consultation for the Development Research Center of the State Intellectual Property Office, the Department of Science and Education of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Hubei Provincial Intellectual Property Office, etc.; 2) providing patent situation analysis, patent search and patent infringement consulting and research for a number of pharmaceutical and biotechnology enterprises, and providing advice for the enterprises' technological research and development, patent layout, product export, and mergers and acquisitions, etc.; 3) conducting training on the patent law and the utilization of patent information for a number of biopharmaceutical enterprises.
