Mr. Xue is one of the founding partners of the Beshining Law Firm. During 25-year practice, he has handled thousands of patent and trademark applications, including invention, utility model and design in the areas of chemistry, mechanics and electrics. He has handled more than 100 cases of patent re-examination and patent invalidation, and the winning rate is higher than 80%. In cases of patent invalidation, he had been an agent for either petitioners or patentees (respondents).

Mr. Xue has handled more than 100 cases of intellectual property litigation and the winning rate is higher than 80%, including patent ownership disputes, patent infringement disputes, administrative proceedings of patent invalidation, trademark infringement litigation, trademark administrative proceedings, software infringement disputes, etc. The related courts include Shanghai Intellectual Property Court, Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People’s Court, Shanghai No.2 Intermediate People’s Court, Shanghai High People’s Court, Nanjing Intermediate People’s Court, Nanjing High People’s Court, Chengdu Intermediate People’s Court, Beijing Intellectual Property Court, Beijing No.1 Intermediate People’s Court, Beijing High People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Court. Mr. Xue has dealt with many famous intellectual property cases, including the No.1 case of Shanghai Intellectual Property Court and one patent infringement re-trial case that was rated as the exemplary intellectual property case of the Supreme People’s Court in 2012.

Mr. Xue has played the role of intellectual property counsel in many enterprises and helps them to carry out search and analysis within the industries and regional or global areas, and formulate intellectual property strategies; to conduct due diligence on major intellectual property transactions of enterprises and participate in the whole process of negotiation on intellectual property transactions of enterprises; to provide comprehensive intellectual property training for workers in the intellectual property field of the enterprises; to afford customers comprehensive intellectual property services.

Mr. Xue not only attaches importance to intellectual property practice, but also dedicates himself in the academic field. Comments on the Exemplary Judicial Decision Series (including civil, commercial, criminal, administration, enforcement, intellectual property, and maritime and maritime commercial cases in seven volumes) compiled by Bixin Jiang, Vice Chairman of the Constitution and Law Committee of the National People's Congress (former Vice President of the Supreme People's Court) as the Director of the Editorial Office, and other numerous judges and experts, was published by the People's court press in 2017. Mr. Xue had also participated in the compilation as the deputy director of the editorial office.

In addition, Mr. Xue had led our team to write the patent and copyright section in the A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO IN-HOUSE COUNSELS which was published by Law Press of China in 2019. Mr. Xue and our Senior Partner Ms. Hua ZHONG wrote the patent part of the book Contemporary Design of Chinese Medicinal Preparations based on their years of patent practice in the pharmaceutical industry which had been highly praised by the editorial board due to the substantial content of the book. The book was published in 2020 by China Medical Science Press. The book Inventiveness, witten by our team led by Mr. Xue, was published in 2020 by Intellectual Property Publishing House. The book Series of Judicial Opinion Explained published by People's court press in 2022, Mr. Xue acts as a member of the editorial committee. Bixin JIANG, Vice Chairman of the Constitution and Law Committee of the National People's Congress (former Vice President of the Supreme People's Court) as the director of the editorial committee, Beiping SONG, an expert member of the Judicial Case Research Institute of the Supreme People's Court and Director of the Institute of Legal Language of the Beijing College of Politics and Law as the editor-in-chief. And judges, experts and professors from Supreme People's Court, High People's Court, Intermediate People's Court and Primary People's Court collaboratively participated in the publication of the book.

In addition, Mr. Xue has energetically participated in intellectual property training whose training courses, lectures and speeches add up to about 1,000, and has been extensively praised. Since 2003, Mr. Xue has been a distinguished lecturer in the training courses for patent attorney examination held by Shanghai Intellectual Property Service Center for 15 years continuously. He has lectured on patent application procedure, the examination of three types of patent, patent re-examination and patent invalidation procedure, and PCT application, etc. Meanwhile, Mr. Xue has also been specially invited as a lecture for the staff in the patent field by Shanghai Intellectual Property Service Center and Shanghai Intellectual Property Training Center. He also serves as a lecture for Shanghai Patent Management Engineering Training Class and was well-received by his audiences. In 2008, Mr. Xue attended a training course in PMC, a famous intellectual property firm in Singapore.
