Yao Kun, former First Class Inspector of the Trademark Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration. Director Yao Kun graduated from the Philosophy Department of Heilongjiang University, and worked in Heilongjiang Administration for Industry and Commerce from 1985 to 1992. From 1993 to this year, he has worked in the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the Trademark Examination Cooperation Center, and the Trademark Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration for 30 years, successively serving as deputy director, deputy director, and first level inspector.

Director Yao Kun also serves as an expert of the Expert Committee of the China Investment Promotion Association. During his tenure, he was mainly responsible for the examination, management, and protection of trademark registration applications, as well as the revision of trademark laws, external exchanges, and negotiations on geographical indications between China and foreign countries. He also participated in the formulation and implementation of relevant national policies on geographical indication trademarks, and promoted the development of the geographical indication industry. He has carried out many important research projects and made significant contributions to China's geographical indication industry. He is the initiator and leader in the research and promotion of the concept of geographical indication culture and the extension of the geographical indication industry chain, and has made positive contributions to promoting the development of China's geographical indication industry.
