Xiaolan Ren, Director of the Chemical Appeals Division of the Patent Reexamination Board, and Second Level Examiner. Graduated from the Department of Chemistry at Lanzhou University in 1995 with a Master's degree in Science and a Bachelor's degree in Law; Joined the Research Institute of Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Company in the same year; In August 2001, he joined the Organic Chemistry Division of the Chemical Invention Examination Department of the China National Intellectual Property Administration; In January 2006, he was transferred to the Patent Reexamination Board and served as the Deputy Director of the Chemical Appeal Office, Materials Engineering Appeal II, Administrative Litigation Office, and Personnel Education Office. In 2011, he was seconded to the Civil Third Division of the Supreme People's Court for one year. As of now, more than 20 articles related to intellectual property have been published, 16 research projects have been undertaken or participated in, 5 works have been written, and 1 independent work has been published. In addition, he also participated in the revision of the Patent Law, its implementation rules, and patent examination guidelines, as well as the preparation of patent administrative enforcement guidelines/guidelines.
