Jensen Xu’s practice focuses on intellectual property (IP) matters. He has experience litigating patent infringement and trade secret cases in US federal district courts. Jensen counsels clients in patent post-grant proceedings, including post-grant reviews and inter partes reviews proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Building on his in-house background in IP enforcement, Jensen also routinely guides clients on trademark infringement cases, domain name disputes, and brand protection strategy.

Before joining Morgan Lewis, Jensen worked for a variety of Fortune 500 multinational companies, including Nike, Honeywell, and Johnson & Johnson, as an in-house IP counsel for 10 years. He supervised and managed more than 400 anti-counterfeit administrative and criminal raid actions and customs enforcement actions in collaboration with the law enforcement authorities at all levels throughout China. Jensen also has experience working with China’s key ecommerce and social media platforms on digital brand protection.

Jensen's “Luo Selling Fake Nike Goods via Internet” case was selected as one of the "2015 Top 10 IP Cases" by Supreme People’s Procuratorate of China and a "2015 QBPC Yearly Best Practice." As a leading counsel or core team member, Jensen has handled more than 60 trademark and anti–unfair competition litigations, including multiple high-profile IP disputes such as Jordan v. Qiaodan Sports, one of the 2017 China Supreme People’s Court Model IP cases. Jensen’s engagements and cases also have involved trademark prosecution, domain name disputes, and other soft IP issues.
