Mr. Lin Wei, as a lawyer, has an educational background of automation and law. Mr. Lin devotes himself to the research in the field of traditional intellectual property rights, conducts in-depth research on legal issues in the fields of information network and cultural media, and extensively dabbles in new businesses involving the Internet. His main business fields include the protection of patents, copyrights, trade secrets, unfair competition, information network and cultural creativity.
As the lead lawyer, Mr. Lin Wei provided his professional service in the largest intellectual property dispute between China and the United States - the technical secret and software copyright infringement case with the amount of RMB 3 billion of American Superconductor v. Sinovel, provided intellectual property services for well-known Internet and high-tech enterprises such as Samsung, ZTE, Xiaomi, Ali, Meituan, VIVO and Jinshan, and also provided comprehensive intellectual property services for the national ministries and large commercial institutions such as the Ministry of Communications, Peking University, Qilu Pharmaceutical, Hengrui Pharmaceutical, Evergrande Real Estate, Ping An Group and Financial Street Holdings.
Mr. Lin Wei has conducted a relatively comprehensive and in-depth study in the fields of network copyright, unfair competition on the network, online games and cultural media: he has dealt with hundreds of disputes over intellectual property rights in information network, and participated in the formulation of the Interim Measures for the Administration of Online Games as a legal adviser of the Ministry of Culture; served as the legal adviser of Microsoft in dealing with the entry of game machines in Shanghai Free Trade Zone; served as a special consultant of the National Sports Lottery Management Center to deal with the legal affairs of Internet sales of lottery tickets, and handled a series of typical cases with influence and demonstration effect.
